U.A.N.V.B.- O.C.R. "Samurai Ruggedized"
Full feature binocular that houses all control switches on the battery pack at the rear of the helmet machined from 7075-T6 aerospace grade aluminum.
The Ultralight Articulating Night Vision Binocular – Out-board Control Ruggedized (U.A.N.V.B.-O.C.R.), known as the “Samurai Ruggedized,” is a lightweight and durable binocular system constructed from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum. The system features out-board controls accessible via a patented (U.S. 12,449,650) proprietary control pack. Using advanced CNC machining, the design achieves an ultra-light yet robust structure, incorporating a single-piece pod for enhanced durability.
The Samurai Ruggedized system relocates all power and user controls to the rear of the helmet, allowing operators to adjust settings while maintaining situational awareness and positive weapon control. This configuration also distributes weight more efficiently across the head, reducing neck strain during extended operations.
The system includes manual gain control, individual pod shutdown, adjustable pod tension, an IR illuminator, and low battery alerts. Our patented (U.S. 12,032,151) IPD stops are preinstalled on the Samurai. Multiple control pack options are available, including analog and digital interfaces, with flexible power configurations supporting 2× CR123A or 4× AA batteries, providing continuous runtimes of approximately 50+ or 60+ hours, respectively.
