The Ultralight Articulating Panoramic Night Vision Goggle (U.A.P.N.V.G.), known as the “Chimera,” represents the next evolution in panoramic night vision goggle systems. It is the first articulating quad-tube device, combining advanced panoramic performance with a compact, ergonomic design.

This patented system achieves the lowest possible profile by allowing the optical pods to stow rearward toward the helmet, creating a profile comparable to articulating binoculars. This design reduces neck fatigue by shifting the center of gravity closer to the natural pivot point of the neck, improving balance and comfort during extended use.

Each Chimera pod can be stowed independently without fully folding the device, enabling users to clear doorways, improve head clearance in vehicles, maintain rapid access to night vision functionality, move efficiently through confined spaces, reduce snag hazards in brush, and operate weapon-mounted optics or thermal devices simultaneously.

In addition to the stand-alone device, the Chimera system offers a bridge variant, U.A.P.N.V.G.-B “Chimera Bridge,” that is fully plug-and-play at the user level, providing seamless compatibility with existing panoramic NVG pods. The Chimera Bridge supports L3 GPNVG-18 and ANVIS-10 systems.
